Three days and Suzu has still not returned. I'm worried that Yanagi was right and she was tired of dealing with my potion mishaps. This morning, I happened to find the hedgehog like this when I woke up:



I picked it up and worked to get it to stop struggling. It made a little squeaking noise.



After lessons, I noticed the hedgehog was covered in ink. I suppose my inkstone somehow got wet and it crawled over it when I had my bag laid flat in the library. I had to give it a bath.



I searched the Forest again today for Suzu, but I came up empty-handed. I managed to gather some more potions ingredients and food for the hedgehog. I also sent an owl to my parents, but I feel they are unlikely (72%) to replace my tanuki. Then again, I also don't want to replace her.

I've noticed the hedgehog likes to curl up on Suzu's favourite sleeping spots... and there is an uncanny resemblance between that look it gives me sometimes and the one Suzu used to give me when you'd blown yourself up again. I realise this is all speculation at this point, but if one adds what Tezuka has said...

Three days? My... I hope Suzu shows up soon. As much as my Mi-chan can be irritating at times, I think I'd worry myself sick if she were ever away from me that long.
